Njoro Golf Club
Less than ten minutes drive from Kembu is the Njoro Golf and Country Club.
Njoro Club is just over one hundred year old. Started by railway engineers in 1903 as a social watering hole, the golf course was added in 1923 on land donated by Lord Delamere. In 1927 it merged with the polo club which is now the grounds of Njoro Girls High School, and the present club house and buildings were constructed.
Portraits of the Royal family and early settlers adorn the walls, in fact Edward Prince of Wales (a regular visitor) played for the Njoro team against Nakuru in ’28. An 18 hole golf course played over 10 greens
