Kenana Knitters

Kembu Campsite & Cottages support several organisations as part of its social responsibility to the surrounding community, and a way of channelling traveller’s philanthropy directly to the people.

 

Kenana Knitters – Started by Paddy Nightingale & Sarah Johnston to create a bit more employment and household income among the rural women in the area. This not for profit enterprise has boomed to incorporate over 250 knitters, and another 200 spinners and shearers, all coloured dyes are extracted from the plants in the local environment.
